microSync Diagnostic File

Diagnostic files can be created on all Meinberg devices of the microSync-Series. This file is very helpful for the Meinberg technical support to analyze issues with your microSync. The file is a tgz archive, which contains the most important log files and the microSync configuration, except passwords.

There are two different possible methods available how to get the diagnostic information of your server.

This is the easiest way to get the diagnostic file. The Web GUI is available since Meinberg OS version 2022.05.01. Just connect with a web browser to the microSync web configuration interface. The button to download the diagnostic file can be found under Maintenance –> Inventory. A faster way is to use the Find anything search field in the upper right corner of the Web GUI:

To get the diagnostic file you have to click at the Download button once:

The Meinberg Device Manager can be downloaded from the Meinberg website: https://www.meinbergglobal.com/english/sw/mbg-devman.htm

Start the Device Manager, connect to your device and click on the Get Diagnostic File button in the System menu to download the diagnostic file:
